Festival Empremtes 2026: Concert "Pol Cruells"

"Figues d'un altre paner" is the new album by Pol Cruells, featuring songs written under the common denominator of what could be considered the Mediterranean "continent"; the concerns of a singer-songwriter accompanied by an electric bass, focusing on the human and cultural heritage that connects him with the shores of the Maghreb, Turkey, Greece, Italy, and Algeria. Aesthetically, he recovers the Mediterranean sound for which he is known from previous works, while continuing to fuse it with the use of samples and electronic rhythms. In search of this balance, the album features collaborations with vocalists and musicians linked to Mediterranean folk; these collaborations enrich the songs with traditional instruments such as the mandolin, bouzouki, accordion, and classical guitar, along with very personal voices from our local Mediterranean music scene.
