Exhibition: "Vectors. Barcelona Arts Digitals"

The exhibition "Vectors. Barcelona Arts Digitals" explores the vibrant ecosystem of contemporary digital art through the voices and practices of a generation of artists who work with computational technologies to imagine alternative presents and possible futures, while acknowledging the references that have guided us to this point. From coexistence with machines and non-human species to critiques of the invisible infrastructures of the digital world, as well as generative art, hybridization with physical reality, and live creation, the exhibition maps a plural and sensitive cartography of our time. The works not only incorporate science and technology but also interrogate, re-signify, and put them in tension. In the face of the functional uniformity of the connected world, these works open gaps for surprise, complexity, beauty, and collective thought. It is an opportunity to discover how digital art can be a space of resistance, imagination, and collective thinking in an increasingly algorithm-driven world. Curated by Irma Vilà i Òdena.
