Exhibition "Strawberry Fields" by Julia Montilla

Explore the thought-provoking exhibition "Strawberry Fields" by artist Julia Montilla, the winner of the 11th edition of the Video Creation Award. This co-production involves a video creation project among the Territorial Centers of the Public System of Visual Arts Equipment of Catalonia, Santa Mònica, the Department of Culture of the Government of Catalonia, and Loop Barcelona. The work focuses on the women workers who harvest strawberries in Huelva, a region that has become a paradigm of the effects of agro-industrial capitalism. The film critiques the urban-centric perspective that dominates contemporary narratives, shedding light on rural lifestyles and the conditions of migrant workers. This exhibition is free to visit and will be open from Tuesday to Saturday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Sundays and holidays from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
