Ten years after its inauguration, the exhibition titled "The Monastery of Pedralbes: Treasures of the Monastery" showcases a unique collection of artworks, furnishings, and both liturgical and secular objects gathered over centuries by the community of Poor Clare nuns at the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Pedralbes. Following extensive restoration and conservation efforts, visitors can appreciate pieces that reflect the monastery's rich heritage, which was greatly enhanced by donations from novice nuns of noble lineage, as the adjacent royal palace of Queen Elisenda attracted many from aristocratic families. The exhibition is selectively organized into thematic areas that categorize the artifacts by historical periods, allowing visitors to connect with the artistic tradition that has flourished within these sacred walls.
