Exhibition: 'Living Public Space: Neighborhood Activism and Street Festivals in Sarrià (1975-1979)'

In 2025, we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Veracruz Orchestra, which performed various gigs between 1975 and 1979. In 1975, the dictator was still alive, but in Sarrià, the streets were alive with youth and community groups wanting to reclaim them. The main goal was to recover the popular neighborhood festival, and the Veracruz Orchestra became a symbol of this effort. The exhibition at Superservis Passage, Casa Orlandai, and the Sarrià Civic Center will explain the recovery of the Sarrià Festival during the late Franco dictatorship, including the history of Can Ponsic and the Parc del Castell de l'Oreneta.
