Curated by Jordi Pol, Jordi Calafell, and Montserrat Ruiz, this exhibition showcases a selection of documentary photography focused on Barcelona’s historical moments just before the urban modernization that followed the transition period. The photographs by Jordi Pol capture a bygone Barcelona, reflecting the lives of the middle and working classes rooted in the city. This historic cityscape, which still lingers in collective memory, serves as an essential archive illustrating the dual nature of photography as both a creative and a documentary medium. Additionally, visual artist and performer Joana Capella will contribute a contemporary perspective to the exhibition, enhancing the dialogue between past and present.
