Exhibition "Ipsa sonant arbusta" by Ana Vaz and Guilherme Vaz

As part of the LOOP Festival, the Museu de la Música in Barcelona presents an exhibition by artists Ana Vaz and Guilherme Vaz. Titled "Ipsa sonant arbusta" ("The same bushes resonate"), the exhibition explores filmic and musical works from two practices that, beyond their generational link, share common and primordial visions of cinema and music. Curated by Rosa Lleo and Manuel Cirauqui, the exhibition features two films by Ana Vaz along with a selection of recordings from her father, Guilherme Vaz, gathered in a listening space. Additionally, archival materials evoke the unique trajectory of the Brazilian musician, composer, and researcher. "Ipsa sonant arbusta" is conceived as an essayistic sketch: an open exercise that engages in dialogue with the works of these two creative figures, resonating across sensitive worlds.
