The exhibition "Dancing the Revolt: 40 Years of Festivals that Saved Us" takes a deep dive into the poster art of self-managed queer parties from the last four decades. This showcase aims to explore the festival as a vital space for community creation and for sustaining queer lives. More than just a form of entertainment, these festive and activist spaces have historically served as refuges, laboratories of experimentation, and scenes of political and cultural resistance. The dance floor transforms into a place for empowerment, visibility, and survival. Through a visual journey of the posters, the exhibition recounts the struggles and celebrations of the queer community. The materials exhibited come from various archives and documentation centers, including the Armand de Fluvià Documentation Centre of the Lambda Casal, the Lesbian Feminist Group Archives, and others. Curated by E/Urko, who focuses on post-pornography, desire, and meeting spaces of non-normative bodies and sexual dissid
