Exhibition "Beatus Ille. Living the Light"
This exhibition offers a journey through the representation of the contemplative and spiritual, tracing a timeline from the 15th century to the early 20th century, passing through periods such as the Renaissance and Baroque to modernity. The 15 works featured in the exhibition—drawn from public and private institutions like the Museum of Fine Arts in Seville and the Museum of Montserrat—highlight selections from great masters such as Titian, Zurbarán, Luca Giordano, Francisco de Goya, Joaquín Sorolla, and Jan Brueghel, among others. Through this historical exploration, the exhibition reflects on the relevance of contemplative life and the role of monasteries and convents in the transmission of knowledge and artistic and cultural production.
