In April 1925, Paris hosted the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts and Modern Industries, marking a pivotal moment for the emergence of Art Deco. Among the participants was the Foment de les Arts Decoratives (now FAD), which showcased Catalan decorative arts. A century later, FAD commemorates this milestone by reflecting on the material world of 1925 against today's design. The exhibition features nearly 200 objects and projects that define contemporary material culture, questioning issues like industrialization, resource scarcity, and social inequalities. It invites us to reflect on a century of design and societal changes, showcasing how objects continue to be witnesses and engines of cultural transformation. Curator: Pedro Azara; FAD. Schedule: Tuesday to Sunday and public holidays, from 10:00 to 20:00. Prices: General admission: €6, Reduced: €4, Combined general admission for temporary exhibitions: €8, Combined reduced: €5, General combined admission: €9.20 (includes permanent and temporary exhibitions), Reduced combined: €6.20 (includes permanent and temporary exhibitions).
