Through the lens of seven distinct ships, this exhibition unravels fascinating maritime tales narrated by characters from various historical epochs, shedding light on universal themes such as exploration, leisure at sea, life aboard transatlantic liners, maritime conflicts, cargo handling, piracy, and technological advancement in naval history. Featured vessels include the 20th-century Santa Maria de la Victoria, the Royal Edward transatlantic liner, the hybrid ship City of Paris, and several others, each tied to compelling narratives from diverse individuals, including dockworkers, ship captains, and even pirates. In total, more than 80 artifacts are on display, such as nautical maps, globes, posters, and historic weapons from the Barcelona Maritime Museum's collection, bringing to life the rich tapestry of maritime heritage. Looking ahead, the museum plans to renew its exhibitions to address contemporary maritime humanitarian issues.
