What specificities does drawing operate within the formation of an image? What happens if we shift the focus from the drawing to the drawer, from the object to the action that produces it? Can we also read an image with our body? We propose a visit where drawing, and by extension, our body, will guide us as a form of knowledge and relationship. We will think about Antoni Tàpies' work through the language of drawing, as an original and specific gesture. An action that produces an image through a filter, the body, which is extremely complex, fragile, and sensitive. We will consider drawing based on bodily movements that create friction between support and matter, under specific temporal and spatial conditions that generate an image as a residue. This image, no matter how specific and symbolic it is, also describes a body that creates friction. Thus, drawing could be understood as a map, a cartography of gestures and attitudes, a shared sensitive evidence between two bodies: that of an author who gestures and acts and that of a receiver who collects with their own body, as they also recognize themselves in those gestures that produced it. We invite you to participate in a drawing activity where we will think about these inherent frictions in the gestation of an image through the work of Antoni Tàpies, based on material approaches such as gesture, speed, friction, and matter, but understanding them as a state linked to their emotional, political, and spiritual conditions. A practical activity that brings us together around the work of Antoni Tàpies through the language of drawing and its performative potentialities. Oriol Vilapuig Morera (Sabadell, 1964) is a visual artist who fundamentally works from the language of drawing. His practice adopts a methodology close to essay. The question of images, their possibilities and statuses, as well as their ways of appearing, are constants in his works. His work also expands into the field of pedagogy around the performative possibilities of drawing and its forms of use. He teaches workshops as a lecturer in the Fine Arts degree at BAU - University Center of Arts and Design in Barcelona and at Illa - School of Art and Design in Sabadell. He has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions. His work is part of various collections and has received critical recognition.
