Join us for a captivating screening of the documentary 'Celestial Music,' which delves into the profound experiences of composer Tomàs Milans with his mentor, Sant Josep Oriol. The film also explores the establishment of the musical archive in Canet de Mar. Directed by Àngels Diemand-Hartz and Luis Vega, the documentary features insights from renowned writer and essayist Ramón Andrés Raimon Arola, as well as musicologists Josep Dolcet and Josep Maria Gregori. Adding to the event's allure, the musical performances will be presented by the Camerata Simfonia s. XVIII, under the direction of Jordi Ribell, alongside the Capella de Música de Santa Maria del Pi, led by maestro Josep Martí i Montoliu. Both ensembles will bring to life previously unpublished scores by Tomàs Milans, and works by composers Benet Buscarons and Joan Crisòstom Ripollès, offering attendees a unique opportunity to experience the rich musical heritage surrounding these significant figures.
