Join us for an engaging discussion on chaos theory at the Born Museum of History in Barcelona, organized by the Museum of Natural Sciences. The session aims to explore fundamental questions about predictability in our world: Why can't we forecast the weather beyond a week? Is it possible to anticipate financial market behaviors? Can we understand and - potentially - predict the complex dynamics of the human brain? Chaos theory has revolutionized science by revealing that despite our mathematical understanding, the universe can be extraordinarily unpredictable. The event will feature Ricard Solé, a physicist, biologist, and researcher as the host, with guest speakers including J. Doyne Farmer, an economist specializing in complex systems and chaos in economics, along with Eva Miranda, a professor at the UPC and researcher at CRM.
