In alignment with Barcelona's designation as the World Capital of Architecture in 2026 by UNESCO-UIA, this event involves a discussion about the itinerant exhibition 'From Party Walls to Facades: A Legacy for the City - Eixample'. Following the city's initiative in June 2024, an international competition for young architects was launched to transform the party walls across ten districts. This debate will focus on showcasing the results of the finalist and winning proposals and tracking the ongoing evolution of projects aimed at revitalizing these walls into new architectural facades. This initiative reflects the current trends in architecture and urban planning to merge heritage with modern functionality.
