Join us for an engaging evening at the XII Cycle of Critical and Popular Culture featuring a contemporary dance performance "Orgia" by the Miquel Barcelona company. This compelling piece delves into the pleasure of the body in motion, challenging the hypersexualized gaze prevalent in today's society. Drawing from countercultural dance styles like voguing, waacking, twerking, and dancehall, "Orgia" aims to question consumerist and heteronormative perspectives on bodies, celebrating them as spaces of freedom, community, and resistance. Following the dance, dancehall and reggaeton artist Selectress Dri will take the stage, spinning a vibrant collection of old-school and contemporary tracks on vinyl. Expect a lively atmosphere as she also includes pop classics from the 2000s and fresh Afrobeats hits to keep you moving and enjoying the night.
