Cycle 'Inventories': Exhibition 'Portraits. Collections Fundación Mapfre'

A collection is the story of the gaze that shapes it and also, in this case, the history of 20th-century photography. The exhibition brings together works by artists from different latitudes and historical moments, with the portrait as a common thread. A journey through snapshots by Diane Arbus, Harry Callahan, Joan Colom, Dayanita Singh, Lee Friedlander, Alberto García-Alix, Cristina García Rodero, Emmet Gowin, John Gutmann, Jitka Hanzlová, Graciela Iturbide, Richard Learoyd, Helen Levitt, Anna Malagrida, Lisette Model, Nicholas Nixon, Fazal Sheikh, Paul Strand, and Garry Winogrand. This exhibition will also feature contemporary insights from transdisciplinary visual artist Christina Schultz. Organized by: Barcelona Cultura.
