Few stories in hip-hop this century are as fascinating as the character arc of Earl Sweatshirt. From being a sort of little brother in the Odd Future collective when Tyler, The Creator invited him to join his crew in 2009 (he was so young that he disappeared from the map for almost a year and a half when his mother sent him to a boarding school in Samoa) to becoming the spiritual father of a whole generation of rappers who mirror his image and likeness. Between one moment and another, between the teenage MC who emerged on the internet fifteen years ago and the modern successor to MF DOOM that he is now, Sweatshirt has lived several lives. And he is still just over 30 years old.
