During Margaret Thatcher's government, the National Union of Miners (NUM) calls for a strike. At the London Gay Pride march, a group of lesbians and gays raises funds to help miners' families, but the union refuses to accept the money. Undeterred, the activists decide to bypass the union and go directly to the miners, traveling to a small village in Wales. This is the extraordinary story of how two completely different communities unite for a common cause. Directed by Matthew Warchus, this comedy is based on true events and runs for 120 minutes. Country: United Kingdom.
