The 'MORTALS' project is a collaborative artistic and research initiative centered on themes of death, illness, care, and life. It aims to create spaces for collective exploration and experimentation through multidisciplinary working groups. The project seeks to construct a kaleidoscope of diverse experiences and perspectives that allow for an exploration of the contemporary relationship with HIV/AIDS, while also recovering both material and immaterial legacies that have permeated since the onset of the pandemic. A particular focus is placed on forming an artistic research group comprised of individuals related to HIV, clinical researchers, and healthcare professionals to analyze the evolution of social perceptions surrounding the pandemic, the role of patients in treatment advancements, and the social determinants affecting therapeutic adherence.
