57th International Jazz Festival of Barcelona: Concert by Guillermo Klein and Friends

Jorge Luis Borges said, 'Let others boast about the pages they have written; I take pride in those I have read.' We are proud to have hosted pianist and composer Guillermo Klein, both a cult and eclectic musician who recorded a marvelous Live in Barcelona (Fresh Sound) at our festival in 2005 with his all-star band Los Guachos. Klein expresses, 'We will perform several new pieces that I will write especially for the group, thinking of everyone who I know and love.' He finds it deeply nourishing to play with younger musicians, discussing this new octet's dynamic, featuring special guest Carme Canela. 'It will be lively music to play, adventurous and profound,' Klein says. His return to Barcelona is a joy for him: 'It is always special to perform in the land that gave me my children.' A night of wonders awaits at Jamboree.
