57th Barcelona International Jazz Festival: Concert 'Israel Fernández and El Relojero'

This project, as its title suggests, is born out of love for singing. It tells the story of passion and friendship that singer Israel Fernández forged with guitarist Antonio El Relojero, whom he met by chance in a flamenco competition where both won first prize. Since then, Fernández has been enamored with El Relojero's playing and overflowing passion, which perfectly aligns with his own musical universe. Together, they explore the voices of Chacón, Pastora, Mojama, Carbonerillo, Cojo Luque, Corruco, La Pompi, and Isabelita de Jerez, among many others, as well as the guitar styles of Niño Ricardo, Montoya, Miguel Borrull, and Manolo de Badajoz. After years of pursuing this project, they finally reunited in 2023, after the passing of Antonio's mother, to embark on this journey to connect with the deepest flamenco passion, that of the flamenco clubs. All for the love of singing.
